The location has been acquired by a powerhouse trio of existing Casual Pint franchise leaders: Scott Huskin (Hoover, AL), Jason Dettman (Huntsville, AL), and Dave Vannier (Omaha, NE).

The new ownership team is currently targeting May 1, 2026, for the grand re-opening. While this date serves as the primary goal, the team notes that the final timeline may adjust slightly as they navigate the final stages of logistics and operational setup to ensure a perfect guest experience from day one.
This seasoned leadership team recently made headlines with their successful takeover of the Ocotillo, AZ location, and they are now turning their focus to revitalizing the Chapel Hill community’s go-to craft beer and dining destination.

A New Chapter for a Neighborhood Favorite
The new owners see immense potential in the Chapel Hill market and are committed to restoring the high standards and welcoming atmosphere that fans of the franchise expect. By combining their years of experience operating top-performing locations across the Southeast and Midwest, Huskin, Dettman, and Vannier plan to bring a renewed energy and operational excellence to the store.
“We know how much this location meant to the local community, and we couldn’t let that legacy end,” says co-owner Scott Huskin. “Our goal is to bring back everything people loved about this spot, but with the added stability and resources of an experienced leadership team. At the end of the day, we want to ensure that this remains the place where everybody knows your name.”

The reopening will feature an expanded food menu, integrating “Beerstro” favorites that have proven to be hits at the owners’ Alabama and Nebraska locations.
